The encaustic medium is magical, vibrant and translucent.  My creative muse guides, inspires and feeds my soul through this medium, mixed media and collage.  Blessing me with endless moments of creative joy and harmony...providing those ahhaa moments about life.  Join me on this creative journey, spend some time reading my musings about this life, the blessed other souls that come into contact with mine, however brief or often, that can leave everlasting imprints on our journey....perhaps our lives might share some similarities, bringing us closer and more connected...and less isolated.

"I suppose there is one friend in the life of each of us who seems not a separate person, however dear and beloved, but an expansion, an interpretation, of one's self, the very meaning of one's soul." ~ Edith Wharton

Here's to finding those expansive moments.....

New Artist Friends - Check out their great work

Recently, I met two fantastic artists, Karoline Varin-Jarkowski and Ulf Konig at the Globe Studios Spring show.  We were sharing space together in the gallery at the May Spring Globe Studios show,  as guest artists.

Karoline was exhibiting these delightful, vintaged altered books with delicate layers upon layers of story telling embedded within the pages.  However, as a viewer you got only glimpses of the story, and were able to imagine the rest...it was a lovely exhibit.

Ulf, visiting all the way from Germany, came to visit Canada, the galleries in Toronto and to participate in the Globe Spring show.  His work and concept are intriguing...as an engineer you can see his passion for structure and appreciation for urban landscape.  His work is delivered with enthusiasm, passion and great skill.  He is a delightful soul.

It was lovely to meet both of them and spend a weekend with them.

Check out their lovely work on their individual websites... Karoline Varin-Jarkowski and Ulf Konig

Yes, these altered books were so delightful for me to come across...as you know I am love all things altered...and books seem to be a bit of a passion with me these days...so when I saw Karoline's work I went a little ga-ga...it is divine work...photos really do not capture the true beauty and essence of her skill
