This is a book I recently completed for an upcoming show, unfortunately, it was not accepted...but I still love it and wanted to share it with you all...I am truly enjoying the encaustic mixed media collage with the altered book medium. I guess you win some and loose some..this is the nature of being a full-time artist..and the rejections are a reality..makes us stronger and for me anyway, finding joy in what I do regardless is truly the essence of the journey. A strong reminder in the intentions behind our creative souls...enjoy your creativity.

I love your work and really want to learn to play with encaustics!
I love the dark fall-ish colors in this one. The texture and depth of the encaustic mixed with the mixed media/book art is wonderful and mysterious Supria. Even if those particular judges didn't accept it, it surly is attaching itself to someone else's heart.
Supria, this book is stunning. I love the mystery to the eyes and the beauty of the plants and butterfly and flowers. Always remember, so many of the "great" artists work were not appreciated and "understood" until the end of their lives or for some, after their lives ended. Maybe there were so so many great pieces that they couldn't take all. But this altered book is really one of your truly beautiful works! You know sometimes things happen for a reason, and this is one of them. So, thanks for the opportunity to see this gorgeous artistic work you've created. It is really beautiful!
