The encaustic medium is magical, vibrant and translucent.  My creative muse guides, inspires and feeds my soul through this medium, mixed media and collage.  Blessing me with endless moments of creative joy and harmony...providing those ahhaa moments about life.  Join me on this creative journey, spend some time reading my musings about this life, the blessed other souls that come into contact with mine, however brief or often, that can leave everlasting imprints on our journey....perhaps our lives might share some similarities, bringing us closer and more connected...and less isolated.

"I suppose there is one friend in the life of each of us who seems not a separate person, however dear and beloved, but an expansion, an interpretation, of one's self, the very meaning of one's soul." ~ Edith Wharton

Here's to finding those expansive moments.....

Well the hard work of painting endlessly for the last few months has come to its birthing day...the opening of my first solo show, "Endless Longing" began today, Monday Nov. 2nd and will come down on Nov. 28th. The opening reception is this Sat. Nov. 7th 1:30 to 4:00 p.m. at the Whitestone Gallery, 80 Norfolk St. Guelph. Hope to see you there....

I thoroughly enjoyed this process and loved creating with the imagery of women and butterflies and weaving in Rumi's poetry. I share a few of the images here for you...Overall I was able to finish 14 new pieces and am showing 22 pieces all together.

Dear Supria- how could I have missed commenting on your beautiful work for your exhibit! Your works are so lovely, and my favorite is the birth of a song! Just beautiful- a combination of being delicate, bold, colorful, soulful with my favorite butterfly and a striking woman. There is such movement in this piece- almost as much as the guests will feel viewing it! Congratulations on such great showing!
