The encaustic medium is magical, vibrant and translucent.  My creative muse guides, inspires and feeds my soul through this medium, mixed media and collage.  Blessing me with endless moments of creative joy and harmony...providing those ahhaa moments about life.  Join me on this creative journey, spend some time reading my musings about this life, the blessed other souls that come into contact with mine, however brief or often, that can leave everlasting imprints on our journey....perhaps our lives might share some similarities, bringing us closer and more connected...and less isolated.

"I suppose there is one friend in the life of each of us who seems not a separate person, however dear and beloved, but an expansion, an interpretation, of one's self, the very meaning of one's soul." ~ Edith Wharton

Here's to finding those expansive moments.....

Madame Butterfly Inspired and Anticipation for more time inwards

I have been craving, longing for more time inwards, to create, play, laugh, cry, learn ....Being with the inner me and letting her be more free.  In this time of hustle, bustle...I feel it more deeply and look forward to the coming months of January and February to be more connected to my creative muse in solitude.  In the mean time I am trying to remember to stay in this 'moment' and enjoy it to the fullest the eager and building anticipation of gathering family and friends....This falling snow and night sky brings with it this silence that gives me a taste of that time to come, time to withdraw, hibernate, be quiet and still.....

So many of us get the "inward" need, the yearning for solitude, during the winter months...I know I do. I long for peace and quiet and to just hole-up in my house/studio and create, letting my imagination go free. I think I may actually be able to do much of it in the days to come (after the holidays.)

Your words are so beautiful and full of yearning.

Peace & Love,
~Barb~

Beautiful words an art... something I have to do as well, be connected to my inner self and my muse, to love and to grow. This season is so crazy and I long for calm... Roxanne

My dear Supria, I wanted to let you know that I received my package in the mail today and before I will allow myself to dive into this fabulous book, I wanted to stop by and tell you thanks. I appreciate your awesome generosity so very much! I've made friends with Rice (the author) so that makes adding this great book an even bigger treat!
Thank you again!
With much...
