The encaustic medium is magical, vibrant and translucent.  My creative muse guides, inspires and feeds my soul through this medium, mixed media and collage.  Blessing me with endless moments of creative joy and harmony...providing those ahhaa moments about life.  Join me on this creative journey, spend some time reading my musings about this life, the blessed other souls that come into contact with mine, however brief or often, that can leave everlasting imprints on our journey....perhaps our lives might share some similarities, bringing us closer and more connected...and less isolated.

"I suppose there is one friend in the life of each of us who seems not a separate person, however dear and beloved, but an expansion, an interpretation, of one's self, the very meaning of one's soul." ~ Edith Wharton

Here's to finding those expansive moments.....

Teaching Joys - At Wise Daughters in Toronto

Photos courtesy of Debra MacMillian

I had such a great time teaching a lovely group of women this past Sunday at Wise Daughter's in Toronto.....and the icing on top of the cake was having a dear highschool friend in the mix....I haven't seen Debra for a very long time, but it is so great to be reunited with her.
Here is her blog and her creativity is wonderful....she was always an awesome art student at J A Turner, our highschool in Brampton.

Teaching at Wise Daugther's again in May, on Sat. May 7th 10- 4 Beyond Collage (formally known as level 2)...if you are interested...we will be covering image transfers, both black & white, colour, rub-on transfers, use of charcoal, graphite transfers/paper, metal leafs, pastels, oil and wax, gouging and filling in the gouges using pigment sticks and /or encaustic medium.  To sign up contact Wise Daughter's directly.  Some encaustic experience is necessary for this class....but no need to be a pro at it..come with the spirit of play and creativity....and you will be sure to have a wonderful time.  Spots are limited.

Thank you for your kind words Supria - I had the BEST time yesterday...both because I got to see you (the icing on the cake for me as well), and because you are such a fantastic instructor.

It was so clear that everyone in the group enjoyed their time with you. It was a blast and I'm sitting here tonight just *itching* to try my hand at it again. Can't wait to take higher levels of the class with you so that you can teach me more!
:)
