The encaustic medium is magical, vibrant and translucent.  My creative muse guides, inspires and feeds my soul through this medium, mixed media and collage.  Blessing me with endless moments of creative joy and harmony...providing those ahhaa moments about life.  Join me on this creative journey, spend some time reading my musings about this life, the blessed other souls that come into contact with mine, however brief or often, that can leave everlasting imprints on our journey....perhaps our lives might share some similarities, bringing us closer and more connected...and less isolated.

"I suppose there is one friend in the life of each of us who seems not a separate person, however dear and beloved, but an expansion, an interpretation, of one's self, the very meaning of one's soul." ~ Edith Wharton

Here's to finding those expansive moments.....

Disintegration Collaboration Project - Present Shots: Sex & Lies, Love & Lust

The Disintegration Collaboration Project is one that has been initiated and coordinated by Seth Apter...It is a great project where you create a paper bundle, any way you like and then place it in nature. ...take a before picture and place it on your blog and then see ..wait and watch what happens to it exposed to the elements and in May the after shots will be revealed on the artist's blogs...at the moment there are 13 artists taking part in this cool project.  Check out Seth's original blog post on the idea and if you like let him know you would like to join in..it is not too late..especially if you have crazy weather like ours....

These are my 'before' shots of my Disintegration Collaboration Project in the present format ....it is called "SEX & LIES - LOVE and LUST".

Pattio thanks for the comments re:encaustics...I am totally in love with the medium...I do not know Jeanne Germanni, but would love to meet up with her as she is so close to chat about altered books etc...I am recently learning about book binding from a womyn named Marlene Pommery...a book binder out in Kitchener...
